How digital menus, table layouts and orders work together. KG-NET explains planning and practical limitations.
Separate the menu from ordering
A QR menu first provides information: items, prices, allergens and languages. An ordering system additionally handles quantities, table allocation and status. Decide whether guests may only browse or actually place orders. A simple menu link should not create expectations it cannot meet.
Handover between service and kitchen
A waiter needs to identify the table, add items to the right order and communicate special requests. Decide when an order reaches the kitchen and how changes are acknowledged. Connection problems must not silently cause missing or duplicate orders.
Test before use in your venue
Test busy periods, table changes, cancellations and split bills. Check network coverage and a practical fallback. Fiscal receipts and payment processing require separately validated solutions. A good-looking demo illustrates interaction but does not establish approval for those integrations.
